Hello my name is Harry and my situation is going from bad to worse. I was attending University of North Texas and ended up on probation. I wasn't able to get financial aid for Spring 2011, so I took a short term loan ($4,000) which I had to pay back before I could take classes in Fall 2011. My plan to pay it off was to work overtime at work and get money but I was let go from my job at Target in Denton because of some miscommunication. So in the end, I didn't come anywhere close to making that money, so now I'm not able to take classes this semester because I couldn't come up with the money. So I tried to transfer to TWU or NCTC but one requirement they had was that I had to bring transcripts from my previous schools and UNT said they couldn't give out my transcript until I paid the $4,000. So i'm out of school b/c of that. Luckily I got another job which pays $8/hr which is quite a distance to walk without a car; and just when things couldn't get any worse, they did this past week. My mom was coming home from work in Dallas. She was almost home (Frisco) when she hit a curb and the airbags deployed. They deployed & the acid that ignites the airbags got her chin & neck. She is really weak and is going to be out of work for sometime. The problem with that is the fact that she is the breadwinner of the house. My dad has had jobs here and there but nothing really to support the family. So with that said, I'm in need to get a car to commute from Denton to Frisco at least 3-5 times a week to help out my parents in any way I can. As I'm typing this, I am in the process of getting a 2nd job to try to help out my parents in some way. So I am in desperate need for a car. I just need something that can get me from place to place. I don't need anything fancy.
P.S: You might wonder how I have been getting to my previous jobs....luckily I have good friends that have been helping me out but I don't feel comfortable of being a burden to them anymore.
